It's a good idea to post the stack sizes so we can get a sense of the relative position in the tournament. And this is a single table tournament, yes?
To answer your question, if your stack was <600, I'd probably just push instead on min raising. It accomplishes the same thing and disguises your hand somewhat. Nothing screams, "Aces!" like a min raise from a short stack. On the other hand, if your stack was somewhat larger, say 1500-2000 and you wanted to encourage the SB (villainous raiser that he/she was) to give you action, it's probably an ok move. It looks like you're stealing and having the SB play back at you is the desired result.
As for the push, if you're bigger stacked, you could consider calling the reraise, seeing the flop and evaulating, since you have position on the SB. But then again, if he had a middle pair, any A or K will kill your action after the flop. Of the options available, I like pushing...for the following reasons...
1) it's a great hand...if you get to see all 5 cards;
2) you get some fold equity (he may fold and you could win the hand right now, although in sit n gos, reraisers rarely fold preflop in my experience so your fold equity isn't as high as if you had just shoved initially);
3) if he doesn't fold, you're 47/53 in a pot that's probably paying you 60/40, at least, and you like positive EV situations like that; and
4) if you're short, you need to double up and it sounds like he was as good a stack as any to take on.
In summary, your play was fine. Congrats on taking it down and sending the non-believers straight to the lake of fire!
