last night was interesting, I was playing blackjack with Michael a mate of mine. After 30min I was up $350 and was getting quiet pissed, then all of a sudden this guy (who was built like a tank) walks up to the table and slams a 10 green backs on the table. I look at him and think fuck I know this dude. Sure enough I catch a glimpse of his ear, but it wasn't there. Then it all clicked it was Chopper Read, a famous retired bikie in Australia. Now days he writes children's books!!

Any way after 10min of chatting to him Michael says (quite loudly mind you) "DUDE WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR EAR, DID TYSON GET A HOLD OF YOU?" As he was saying this I was punching him in the arm telling him to shut up and shitting myself at the same time, sure enough chopper was good about it and told him it got bit off in prison and then he bought a round of drinks. As it turns out he is a really nice guy and tells one hell of a story. [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Well last night was the final table of the main event of the melbourne poker champs. I played in 3 events and played ok in the 200k event, couldn't win a race the hole event. had AK 3 times against mid pockets and couldn't hit and i got knocked out with pocket jacks vs. KQ offsuit. Needless to say I was gutted.

The Omaha Hi/Lo was a great game and event to play in. I had allot of fun and meet some really nice people.

The main event I played SO SO SO bad. I donked off 60% of stack with in the first 4 levels. Then I got delt kings in the small blind and run into aces. So it was torny over. Which was probably a blessing anyway, after being knocked out I sat in the 2/3 nl game and picked up $700. So i was pretty happy coming home on friday night.

On Saturday I learnt the hardest lesson I have ever learnt in my life. I hit a 2 outer on the river against this really nice old guy, I felt so bad I wanted to give him his money back. [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Wow, I can't belive I havn't played more Omaha Hi/Lo. This is a great game, a game which I found very easy to understand. Unfortinatly for me my torny ended when I run into the nuts. I fell I played well, I had one very interesting bloke at my table Curley Seal. Curley is a bookmaker from Adelaide, two blokes from Sydney stung him on a rort for approx 300k. He is a really nice guy.

I also had the pleasure of meeting Joe and Tony Hachem last night. Joe was very polite and well spoken, Tony is a very out there type of guy. He seems like the bloke thats wants to be mates with everyone. I have a photo of Joe and myself which I will put on the site in the near future.

I am really looking forward to tonight, the 100k event starts tonght at 1910. I am hoping to be on top of my game and cash for the first time this championships.

Last night I wittnessed the worst poker to have ever been played, it was in event 1 of the the melbourne poker chaps. I caught the action with 5 players left. The short stack had 3 BB ( and was fold to a raise on his BB) the big stack had 10 BB and was playing so careful it wasn't funny. One bloke put 60% of his stack in the middle 3 times and layed it down to a shove. What was this idiot playing?

It was the worst hour of poker i have ever seen. It was a disgrace to the poker world that the bloke what won did win. they where all so bad.

i am off to play now and may play in event 3 the PL event tonight

After writing my last entre, instead of going to bed I thought I would go get some breakfast on southbank. So I went to Greco (which was AMAZING) the american bacon was to die for.

Anyway after breakfast i decided to walk down and see what the game was like, sure enough I see this one table with 4 blokes I was playing with at 6pm the evening before. They where pouring the beers down as fast as they where at 6pm (which was a great effort I thought) so I sat down and the 3rd hand in I pick up pocket queens, UTG who is blind drunk and cant see past his nose grabs a hand full of chips ($60) and drops them in the middle, everyone else folds except for his drunking weed of a mate who was in the cut says "your a fuck head, you got nothing" and throughs all his chips ($127) in the middle. So i shove, the blinds fold and the twat UTG calls. We turn the cards up, UTG has J4s and his mate has Q10o. [[ This is a content summary only.
WOW, what a night. I finished playing a 13 hour session and ended up $470. I was on top of my game tonight, through out the 13 hour session I managed to only show my hand 6 times. 6 out of the 6 I was a overwhelming favorite. I was all in with kings 4 times, queens once and aces once. Unfortunately they all didn't hold up, infact only 2 of them held up. My kings where cracked by AK 3 times and aces cracked by 8's. Other than that I managed to take down a number of good sized pots with aggressive play.

I had the pleasure of playing with Peter Aristidou tonight, he was very polite and friendly and very aggressive. Peter is currently siting in 2nd position in the Crown's Poker Player of the Year. I am sure with the Melbourne Poker Championships starting this sunday Peter will be number 1 shortly.

I think that I was really happy about was the quality women that where playing, it was really good to see. [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

"I read this article a while back that said that Microsoft employs more millionaire secretaries than any other company in the world. They took stock options over Christmas bonuses. It was a good move.

I remember there was this photograph of one of the groundskeepers next to his Ferrrari. Blew my mind. You see shit like that, and it just plants seeds, makes you think it's possible, even easy. And then you turn on the TV, and there's just more of it. The 87 million dollar lottery winner. That kid actor that just made $20 million on his last movie. That internet stock that shot through the roof. You could have made millions on it if you'd just got in early. And that's exactly what I wanted to do: get in. I didn't want to be an innovator. I just wanted to make the quick and easy buck. I just wanted in."

Even though this quote came from the movie Boiler Room, a truer word has never been spoken. [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
