The Hawaiian Gardens Casino is located in the city of Hawaiian Gardens about 25 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, directly off the 605 freeway. The facility consists of two fabricated steel buildings connected together into two huge open rooms (one for poker, one for other games) with a couple of smaller rooms in between. The original facility has been expanded several times and the casino is now is very impressive from the exterior with extensive signage and plenty of free parking.
Hawaiian Gardens spreads a full range of games as seen above and offers tournaments and sit-n-gos daily. The NL games have a set buy-in (the minimum and maximum are the same) except for the $1000 NL; that game has no max buy-in. See the items of interest link above for detail.
Inside, the gaming rooms are well-lighted but more spartan in feel than the other larger Southern California card rooms. That said, this is one of our favorite places to play in the Los Angeles area. The poker room has everything a regular player could want--a full range of games (hold'em, Omaha and stud) running 24/7, friendly and professional dealers and floor staff, automatic shufflers on every table, minimal wait times and an effective brush set-up in each of its poker areas. The room is non-smoking throughout (although there are designated smoking areas) with snack areas, tableside dining and flat screen TVs everywhere.
Tables (9-handed, autoshufflers) and chairs (fixed leg) are in good shape, although the tables in the low stakes NL areas have some sort of synthetic (vinyl?) felt that's weird to the touch.
