Why would you play a hand w/o looking? It's a huge leak and destroys the "tight" image you've spent all that time creating.

I didn't mean to imply that I told anyone I didn't look. Sometimes, when playing live poker I make a decision to play a hand based on position and the action of others. In this case I hadn't played a hand from the button in the last two orbits and made the decision that if limped or folded to me I would raise with any two cards -- so sometimes in these situations I just raise without looking since my raise size will always be the same.

When the blind checked there was no reason to look because I was going to raise no matter what -- I suppose I could have checked if I flopped a monster!

So in summary, i really don't see why looking or not in this situation would have made a difference. My problem with the hand was the two idiotic calls with only a gut-shot. If you disagree I'm certainly open to hear about it!
