Bodog Poker
We’re probably gonna hurt our weekly earn by posting this, but if you like money, you’ll LOVE Bodog. Seriously, you don’t even need to bait a hook in the cash games – the fish in the Bodog waters throw themselves right into your boat. And we’re not talking little sunfish…we’re talking full on 200-pound yellowfin tuna. One minute they’re pushing pre-flop with KJo, the next minute they’re flopping around at your feet. It’ll be startling at first, but after your 3rd or 4th NETeller cashout, you’ll get used to it. Tournaments are the same way – the Sunday $100,000 Guaranteed, the $15,000 Guaranteed and the WSOP satellites all offer sick overlays. Repeat: if you like money, you’ll LOVE Bodog. For more details on Bodog, read our comprehensive review.

PokerChamps $15,000 Guaranteed Weekly Main Event
Are we missing something here? PokerChamp’s $15,000 Guaranteed tournament (Sunday, 3p EST) rarely draws more than 1/2 of the field necessary to cover the guarantee giving entrants a HUGE overlay. Do the math… $15,000 guaranteed prize pool, $100 buy-in, about 80 entrants. Wait a minute. That means there’s an extra $7,000 in the prize pool – almost $90 a head! The tournament typically runs less than 5 hours so, in theory, you can win the damn thing and still catch the Sopranos by 9p. Seriously, this is a must play event for the MTT player. For more details on this and other generous overlay tournaments check our Overlay Page. Also, be sure to read our review of PokerChamps by clicking here.

EValuator™
Many times in a poker session you face a difficult decision regarding whether to call a bet or fold your hand. Whether or not you decide to call should be based on your belief of the expected value of that decision. Unfortunately, managing all the variables of that decision – the pot amount, the pot odds, your hand, your opponent’s range of hands, your win percentages against those range of hands, the probability of the various holdings, etc., etc. – is often overwhelming.
Our exclusive EValuator™ helps you to determine the expected value (EV) of the call decision based on your estimate of your opponent’s possible range of hands. Click here to start using the EValuator now.

The Final Hand from the 2005 World Series of Poker Championship Event
The blinds were quite high, $150,000-$300,000 with an ante of $50,000. Dannenmann bet 700,000 preflop and Hachem smooth called. The flop gave Hachem the straight and second-nuts. He decided to slow play the hand and simply checked. Dannenmann trying to take the pot right there with the baby end of the open-ended straight draw fired $700,000. Hachem shot back with a raise to $1,700,000 and Dannenmann simply called. The turn gave Dannenmann top pair. Hachem bet $2 million and Danneman raised it to $5,000,000. Hachem, after a moment of hesitation moved all-in. Dannenman called and it was all over.
