About our MTT Blind Structure Pages
Most sites offer a variety of multi-table tournaments (MTT), each of which varies by, among other things, the buy-in, number of entrants, chip stack and level times, prize pool, etc. We have put together a database of MTT structures from many of the leading online poker room to help you get a sense of how the tournament actually plays out before investing you spend your time and money. Specifically, we have listed buy-in information, typical entrants and run time, the structure (including chip stack, blinds and level times) and any guaranteed prize money offered.
We have also observed a number of these tournaments and noted the players left at the start of each level so you can see the field attrition and, importantly, the average stack to blinds ratio at various points in the tournament. For reference, we added an approximation of the total number of hands you can expect to see based on 70 hands/hour and the number of premium hands (AA-JJ, AK) and playable hands (AA-66, AK-AT, KQ-JT), you'll see on average. One feature of our blind structure page that we believe you will find particular useful is our color-coding of levels in the Zone Analysis sections. As the level colors move from green, to yellow, to orange, and finally to red, it will become evident at what points the average player is short-stacked and will be forced to play fast and take risks. It is especially interesting to compare level colors of various tournaments and note how quickly some tournaments move to the danger zones (orange and red) while other tournaments have much more "playable" structures that allow you more time to accumulate chips and be patient.
Of course, your experience may vary from what we observed. We're committed to providing accurate information to the poker community. If you see entries or information that you believe to be in error, please email us at
