 Overview

The Chumash Casino Resort, located near Santa Barbara, offers a 14-table, non-smoking poker room and spreads limit, NL and 5-card Omaha.   Wait times for most games are < 30 minutes mid-week, but weekends wait times for NL can be an hour or more.  Note:  the poker room has moved up to the 3rd floor past the buffet.

Chumash allows a live straddle and you can rebuy for up to the table max plus $50.

The room runs a daily tournament at 10:15a Mon-Sat and Tue-Thu evenings at 7p; the buy-in and rebuy/add-ons vary -- see additional info under 'Items of Interest' in right sidebar to this page.  They also offer 6-10-person sit-n-gos with a $57 buy-in.

The dealers and floor staff are friendly and attentive, food service is available tableside.  Automatic shufflers are installed on all tables.

 

Chumash also offers $1000 daily in splashpot bonuses; Mon-Fri 1-5:30p and Sun-Thu 10p-3a.

$20k Monthly NL Tournaments at the Chumash Poker Room

The Special $20,000 Sunday No-Limit Tournament is now a monthly event, held on the last Sunday of each month at the Chumash Casino Poker room. It features a $120 entry fee, $4,000 cash first prize, and pays the top 40 players. Sign-ups begin at 7:00 a.m. on the day of the event (6:15 a.m. for seated players).
