I'm still amazed at how creative you can be about monotone facts. If you'd have written, "I swung by the ticket counter, twisted the lady's arm until she gave me my seat back and spent countless hours on a plane to arrive at an old school hotel that looks like something straight out of a 007 movie. And oh, by the way, I stopped in to have lunch in a gold plated cathedral." Well, your version makes for a much better read. keep em coming!

Have you contacted amnesty international about your situation? Actually it looked quite charming, but I am a peace and quiet kind of guy most of the time.
