If you are in the area, this is pretty much the only game to play, unless you head to either State Line, N. shore or S. shore in Tahoe. While it's not a huge room, and there is not a wide variety of games, the room is well run, fun, and worth a visit. The general landscape of the table will be a few locals just hanging out, putting in their time, and a handful of tourists. If there has ever been a table to make an example out of poor play, this would be it. (more for a trip report). The game is grossly beatable, and the only thing that separates it from a nice steak dinner versus a mortgage payment, are the stakes.
This was my 2nd or 3rd time playing in the game over the past few years. While there, I've always enjoyed the room, the game and the visit.
They are critically strict on call phone(s), calls, text messaging, etc. while in the poker room. This being that the poker room is also located in the Sports Book of the casino. So, make a move for your phone, and you will catch hell. On the other hand, make a move for your chips with the nuts, and you'll likely get raised by someone in the worst position on the table.
I was hoping to sit in the $10/20 Crazy Pineapple game, but didn't get a seat, so instead sat in the $4/8 limit game, which was just as juicy.

Atmosphere

The room is well rounded with rolling chairs, comfortable tables, side tables, plenty of space. There are several plasma screens located throughout the room. area. All of which was clean, and well taken care of.
*edit*
One annoyance: They use poker sized (wide) *PAPER* cards. Essentially, the same cards on the Black Jack table. For someone who plays poker quite a bit, and is used to a plastic card, this will be one of the first things you notice about the game. They are however pretty accommodating about calling for a new setup.

Very friendly Staff, Floor, Dealers, etc. The room was well run other than at times, the players were incredibly slow. (not the Floor's issue though) I'm also used to a limit game playing very, very quickly, so I may have a different expectation) Didn't have any issues with Floor decisions, misdeals, etc. Everything was smooth running.

Food and Drink

|
Cocktail waitresses regularly come through the room, so drinks, etc. were not hard to track down. There are several places to eat within the casino that are worth a visit. There isn't much within walking distance, so once you are in the casino, plan on setting up camp for poker, table games, food, drink, etc.

Wait Time/Overall Service

I waited roughly 20 minutes or so for a seat in the $4/8 game. I was also on the list for the CP $10/20 game, but didn't get called on it, so depending on the night, the wait for CP game could be longer.
Signing up was a snap. Walk up to the desk, put your name on the list and you're done. I do not know if they allow calling in to put your name on the list, but would imagine they would, being that they are a smaller room / only room in town.
