Another week of grinding out the cash tables seems to have paid off agian...I profited another $1221 4 tabling 1/2nl for 20 hours this week after $1276 profit last week...So thats $2500 in 2 weeks at 40 hours putting my hourly in the $60/hr range...I actually started the week pretty slow only up about $300 after 9 hours of play but then really turned it on Thursday-Saturday with Saturday being my best day profiting nearly $450 in just 3.25 hours...I really feel like im understanding and adjusting to cash more so the last few days and really feel confident on the cash tables even more so than the tournys now, which is real funny to me because ive proabably only spent 1% of my time there with the other 99% at the tourny tables...I think next week can be my most profitable week yet!!

Not quite sure what i am doing Sunday...Only tried a couple saty's for the Majors and was not successful in either so not sure if ill play and of the majors or just keep grinding the cash...

On a side note i bought a new car on Thursday...I had owned a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT and traded that in and bought a 2006 Honda Accord EX...Only 18k miles...Fully loaded from leather interior to heated seats and 6 disc changer to voice navigation and a shit load of other features...I pick it up Monday and i cant wait!!!

So after a interesting week of switching from a all-tourny player to a majority-cash table player, i have mixed feeling about my week, but mostly positive...

Monday-Thursday i was running over the 1/2 cash tables at an incredible clip...At the end of Thursday i had logged 14 hrs at a total profit of nearly $1600...All 6 sessions were winning sessions and even ran pretty bad on Thursday but was up $250 in 4 hrs play...Then came Friday...and man it came hard...My afternoon session was downright miserable...in 15 mins i was in the hole almost $200 after missing some draws and just hitting nothing post flop...I managed to get back within about 100 of the red side in the next hour and called it quits before anymore damage could take place...So i took a few hours off then jumped back on at night to try and get back in the right direction as i thought i could eclipse $2000 profit for the week quite easily...Well that didnt happen...Friday night i ran the worst i may ever have X10...In a 5 minute stretch i lost over $550 in equity pots with AA and AA and the one was absoluty atrocious...Im in mp with a bet to 7 from utg...i reraise to $20 and folds back to the original raiser...he re raises to $55 and i go all in for around $120...he insta calls...i have him on KK...flop is Q710r turn is Q river is 4...he flips over AQ...sigh...$240 there...oh well...not a couple minutes pass when on a different table again i hold AA this time on the BB...2 limpers to me i raise to $10...both limpers call sb folds...flop is 10d7d3x...i raise to $25 1 folds other limper calls...next card is 4x...i raise to $50 about 2/3 pot hoping to get rid of the draws but guy goes all in for about 50 more...i insta call river is Qd...he flips over K3dd...sigh...at this point i am irate and start playing loose and long story short go down about $350 in 2 hrs before i drag myself off the tables before killing something...

So Saturday i take it easy and just jump on 4 tables for 1:45 mins to complete my 20 hr trial for the week and get a little back aboout $125 which put my final weekly total at $1280 in profit in 20hrs a little over $60/hr which is good but alot lower than i hoped for after my great first 4 days where i was pulling around $140/hr...

I also won my Tuesday night league for $400 but did terrible in my saty's going about $150 down and only cashing in 2/14 with no tickets to show for...

So for my first week which i felt was really a feeler week went pretty well...i definitly learned several things and think i have some tools now that will help me in the future as well as a better game plan on how to attack a good weekly scheduale...I think Sunday's will still be my Tourny days...Tomorrow ill play the Warm-up/daily 30k/sunday 200k/sunday mil while Monday-Friday i can grind out 20hrs of cash and saturday try my hand at some saty's for the upcoming sunday and play some VIP weekly/monthly freerols...Im pleased to say that i am now a Silver Star and by the middle of next week will easily eclips Gold star status...I also think i have an outside shot at reaching Platinum star by the end of the month...depending on the volume i put in, should atleast give me extra icentive to play...

I know i said in my introduction entry that i gave up playing cash a while back after droping a good chunk of money in a short span a couple times and vowed not to jump on the tables again until i felt comfortable doing so...Well Sunday night i was reading some blogs and trying to come up with a better strategy going on eliminating the high variance that comes with MTT play...It really can be frustrating playing 4-5 hours and going deep into a tourny only to get knocked out with 20 or 30 left and only get maybe 5-10x buy in when 1st place is getting like 200-300x bi and those long grueling grinds just dont always seem worth it...To have a continuosly steady and growing bankroll u need to counter the large MTT play with some other form of game such as cash or smaller sng games...I had been a sng player b4 even getting into mtt's but never seemed to enjoy it as much and just didnt see the value of it at the stakes i was playing at...now granted i could play much higher stakes now with my roll than what i was then but decided, after contemplating several times to try cash atleast one more time...

So Sunday night i jumped on 4 1/2nl tables and after a 3 hour session finished on the plus side nearly $150...I was pretty happy with this as i generally was a losing cashe player but i think as my game has progressed my ability to adjust to cash tables has gotten stronger and felt like i understood the play and decision making more so in cash games than before...So i slept on the idea to play some more on Monday just to make sure that Sunday night was not a fluke and that i really did have a good feel for the game...So i jumped on 4 more 1/2nl tables Monday and once again had a great session profiting $235 in 1 hour!!!...The funny thing is i wasnt even really giving it my complete attention as my sister was at the race track and calling me every 15 mins to get a pick for the next race so i was really focusing on that while playing 4 tables at once and still found it quite easy to make a substantial amount in short time...

So i took a few hours off and tryed to think of a plan on how to try and incoporate both cash game play and mtt play together to maximize my growth potential and i think i came up with a pretty good plan for myself...I will play 4 tables of cash, while playing satalite tournys into major buyin tournys such as the sunday million or warm-up or WCOOP etc. for very small amounts and hope to get into some of the majors and take my chances there where i can get into a $215+ buy in tourny for under $25 so if i cash even just barely i am getting 2-3x the direct buy( for instance $500 for a $215 buy in for just a saty price of $15) which is a great ROI and will have the opportunity to have a major cash if i can go deep which i know i am capable of doing...At the same time playing fr cash games to continue steady growth of my roll...Looking at it i just dont see the value of the small to medium buy in MTT's $/hr wise compared to cash tables over a long term...

So later on Monday night i decided to try my plan and jumped on the 4 1/2nl cash tables along 3 satys 1 a $4r WCOOP ME $320 qualifier, a sunday mil $3r and a APPT 3r...Unfortunatly i didnt get tickets for any of the 3 finishing just 5 seats short in the APPT saty but only spent $34 in the 3 combined...However on the cash tables i put in a 1.5hr session and had my best session yet profiting $646 in just and hour and a half!!! Now i know that i cant expect to do this everytime and even know i will finish in the negative some times but in just 5.5hrs 4 tabling 1/2nl i have profited nearly $1,030 giving me a $186/hr rate...Neadless to say i have also earned over 1k in fpp and am nearly into silver status on stars and should reach gold by the end of the month pretty easily...

I really feel like this will be the best way for myself to build my bankroll while still giving myself the opportunities for a big MTT score for a cheap price...I would like to see how the rest of the week goes, and am attempting to put in a total of 20 hrs 4 tabling 1/2nl to see what my total profit and $/hr looks like in 1 weeks time to really access how successful this can be along with how my saty results are...

BTW, as i currently am, generally am writing these entries either real late and night half asleep or while doing several other things simultaneously at once so as a couple people have pointed out there may be small errors and mistakes in some of my words...i am not a great writer to begin with and am not proofreading these entrys so yes i know there are f-ups sry about that but i hope u atleast get the jist of what im trying to say...

So Saturday i went to the races and didnt do bad but making it a trifecta i finished down so im 3 for 3 in that dept this year...

Saturday night i get into the 3r and 27.50 on stars and played very well in both...made the $$$ in both and past the 4 hr break when all the wheels fell off...In the 27.50 there are just over 100 left and i have 35k in chips a bit below avg, with A6 in the BB...everyone folds to the button who makes it 8k on 1500/3000 blinds, so i shove he calls hes got 77 and hits a 7 8 10 baord...goodnight there...Over on the 3r i am a bit over avg with about 60k in chips when i get moved to a table which i shortly see is a players dream...3 stacks in the top 10 and none of them know what theyre doing... theyre opening for 6-8x then folding a double reraise behind...lol...in 15 minutes i chip up to 95k pretty easily only seing 1 flop and feel like i can cruise to the top of the leaderboard pretty easily as long as i can stay here...I get AQd in lp and like clockwork one of the chip leaders with almost 400k at the time raises to 30k on 2500/5000 blinds lol...everyone folds to me so i ship it...button folds, sb folds, then FUCK...bb shoves...not expecting him to have a hand...the original raiser of course folds and im dissapointed to see bb with AK and i dont get there so out of there and felt more mad there because of how soft and easy that should have been to accumulate chips in rapid pace...

So Sunday rolls around and am stoked...Earned tickets to the Warm-Up and Mill and plan on registering for the daily thirty grand and sunday 200k...So hopin for a deep run in a couple of them, as i was feeling i was playing as good as i ever have recently...I make it through the 1st hour in the warmup without getting involved in to many pots but lose 2k on a semi-bluff attempt just before break so am down to 8100 at break...After break i get a few hands and hit a couple nice pots and double up plus some to about 18k...feelin real good as my table only has 1 good player and about half way through the field when i see KK utg...blinds 400/800 i raise to 2400...next to act who has just a bit less than me re raises to 6k...folds to me so i shove for a total of 17.6...he tanks for 30 secs then calls all his chips with 99...YES...flop 10 J K...TIPS KKK's...nice...turn Q....NO FKING WAY....river 6....34k pot...nice 3 outer...he says my favorite line...hey thats pokerstars for ya...STFU...fukin donk+1...

So that tilts me the rest of the day and i go out in the 1st hour of the thirty, 200k and mil...I usually am good about not tilting but was so sick wanted to puke in my mouth after that hand...

So im in the $$$$ in the 3r on stars (which imo is the softest mtt besides the $4 180 man of course) with about avg chip stack 35k...i have QJ in mp with blinds 600/1200...folds to me i raise to 3000...sb calls with 3k with about 22k left behind him...flop is Q53 rainbow...he cks i raise to 4700 about 1/2 pot...he re raises all in for another 17k i call he has 1010...turn is a 10...sigh...55k pot on a 2 outer...oh well...

Off to Saratoga Race Track tomorrow with some buddies...first 2x up have been yuk so maybe third times a charm...
