I did not play many card games as a kid, but college introduced me to poker, and this has become a way of life to me. We college kids went crazy. Five card stud was the game of choice at first, morphing into variants of seven card. We played not only for money, but for services for each other, like doing the laundry.
Now i have become a fixture at poker rooms throughout the country, doing pretty well in my quiet, disarming style. I travel a lot with my spouse, who is addicted to 21 and the roulette wheel, so we go our separate ways at the casinos.
