Overall, this is a great room for a mid-limit player. There's always plenty of ring game action and the waits are very reasonable (<30 minutes, typically). The weekly tournaments are some of the best in LA and they've recently opened a new tournament room. It's pretty easy to get to (right off the 110 freeway). There's plenty of free parking and the valet service is quick and cheap, if you're lazy like me!

The Hustler is very nice inside. It's got a more luxurious feel than any other room in LA, but it's not cheesy, at all. The tables and chairs are in great shape and comfortable, although it can get crowded sometimes. The tables are pretty close together.

The dealers are ok by LA standards--some good dealers, others that seem like they'd rather be somewhere else. That said, I've played the Hustler a ton and rarely see misdeals or mistakes. The floor is also readily available for any possible problems. Special note: the tournament staff are great. The nightly tournaments are some of the best run tournaments in LA.

Food and drink service is available tableside. Service in the main poker rooms is great; in the tournament area, it's harder to find the wait staff. You pretty much have to eat at the poker room; there's no decent alternatives nearby. The food at the tables is just average, but the sushi bar and upstairs restaurant are pretty good.

The waiting lists at the Hustler are manual sign-up, but the floor staff do a great job with managing the lists. They're polite and attentive, and it's easy to hear your name called anywhere in the room. Wait times for most games are typically pretty short.

Sign up for a Hustler card and you'll accrue comp points every hour or so. Food in the bigger limit games ($500 NL, for example) is free. There's ongoing promotions and jackpots, but honestly, I don't pay much attention to them.
