  Featured Poker Room

The Bellagio is one of the classiest rooms in Vegas if not in the world.  The decor is 'posh' and in good taste.  There are 40 poker tables in the main room and the tables and chairs are all high-end and the service is top-notch.  The biggest game in town takes place in Bobby's Room, a private room off to the back and it's not uncommon to see Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harmon and company playing at all hours of the day and night.

- Machiavelli, 15th century Italian author

The best players are aggressive.

  Poker Tools
EValuator™
Many times in a poker session you face a difficult decision regarding whether to call a bet or fold your hand. Whether or not you decide to call should be based on your belief of the expected value of that decision. Unfortunately, managing all the variables of that decision – the pot amount, the pot odds, your hand, your opponent’s range of hands, your win percentages against those range of hands, the probability of the various holdings, etc., etc. – is often overwhelming.

Our exclusive EValuator™ helps you to determine the expected value (EV) of the call decision based on your estimate of your opponent’s possible range of hands.  Click here to start using the EValuator now.

Bodog Poker

We’re probably gonna hurt our weekly earn by posting this, but if you like money, you’ll LOVE Bodog. Seriously, you don’t even need to bait a hook in the cash games – the fish in the Bodog waters throw themselves right into your boat. And we’re not talking little sunfish…we’re talking full on 200-pound yellowfin tuna.  One minute they’re pushing pre-flop with KJo, the next minute they’re flopping around at your feet. It’ll be startling at first, but after your 3rd or 4th NETeller cashout, you’ll get used to it. Tournaments are the same way – the guaranteeds usually offer nice overlays.  Repeat: if you like money, you’ll LOVE Bodog.   For more details on Bodog, read our comprehensive review.

  Famous Hands

The Final Hand from the 2003 World Series
of Poker Championship Event

Chris Moneymaker
held:

Sam Farha
held:

The Board came:

The amateur Chris Moneymaker had $6,600,000, dominating Farha's $1,800,000.  Farha raised with JTo to $100,000 and Moneymaker called.  The flop came: Js, 5s, 4c. giving both players a good headsup hand but Moneymaker's the 3 to 1 favorite.  Moneymaker check-raised Farha's bet, and Farha confidently moved all-in only to see the bad news --he was a 3 to 1 dog.  The 8d on the turn helped neither player and the river 4 put Moneymaker in the poker history books and sparked the internet poker boom.
