Default I'm such a media, err, attention artist

Right after I got back home from the 60M thing, I got a strange email in my inbox from CNBC asking me to contact them. Turns out they read the NY Times article on me about Intrade and wanted to do a piece on that. The result was a pretty decent (I
think) interview that will air on CNBC around 8/25, largely rehashing the NY Times piece; depending on what they air, it should be a little more in depth, though. Bottom line: if
you think that Intrade is a good example of the wisdom of crowds theory, you're probably better off just taking my predictions (or that of another decent trader) as gospel, instead; you're much more likely to get something coherent out of me than out ...

Interesting spot, Serge. I would like to hear your thought process on the fold, because I just see a better flush as one possibility, and one that is not super likely compared to other possibilities.

He probably doesn't put you on a flush so he could be trying to simply represent the flush or thinks that his rivered straight or trips or two pair is best and he's betting for value. If he has the A or K high flush, wouldn't he have been more likely to raise you on the turn or lead out on the turn? If he just has the J high flush wouldn't he be more likely to just call? I'm not saying you're good here, but I think you're good more often than not against most players.

I don't play these stakes, but:

Without a read given, I'm never folding a T high flush there Serge. He has a straight/set/pair combo he thinks is the nuts often enough that a call is profitable. My only though would be should I call or shove, and I think on balance calling is right.

I think that's a terrible fold at Cake. At the bare minimum it's a call. You're beat there like 10% of the time at the most. Cake players play a flopped set like that all the time to tarp you.
