Default Five interesting recent live hands

As a result of having played so much recent live poker I’ve found myself in quite a few interesting spots against a vast array of players. I’ll post those five hands here and people can think about what they’d do, then in the next entry I’ll
post the results.

1. Aussie Millions $2200 AUD 6 max “preliminary” event. Start bank 10,000. ...

Hand 1: call. did you really hesitate here? He probably has a big A. Are you scared of TT? Seems like AJ-AK to me. Button can have anything, but very unlikely a 5.

Hand 2: Don't like the spot. You're probably beat. Maybe call and then see if you can get any clues on the river, but yuck.

Hand 3: Another tough spot. If he really made the straight or had just made a hand like K7, wouldn't he be better off check raising or check calling? You gave no indication that you would check the river.

Hand 4: Like the shove. No need to give him a free card for flush. Your push can also seem like you are on a flush draw and maybe, just maybe he calls with AQ.

Hand 5: I want to get it all in here for sure. You're not folding. I'm assuming you feel you're good and want them to gamble with you... right? If so... hmmm... the safe bet is to just push and perhaps one of them comes along with a hand like 88/TT/A9 thinking that you're on the draw. You can also check push, if you're fairly certain that the button will bet and it seems like he will bet this flop. Betting 10k or so is not bad either, but it would suck to see an A on the turn. I probably go for the check-push.

Hand 1 What does he shove? AA, a 5 and flushes just seem silly. You've shown weakness two streets...I call.

Hand 2 Weird to play a set this way on drawy board. Interesting that he leads when he has to assume you're betting the turn...or wouldn't you? He's setting up a river shove. The only hand that seems to make sense is 77. 710 got there but wouldn't he check?

Hand 3 Gross. He's in a perfect spot to check, let you bet, let the station call to build a pot. No turn check raise so would he just call again with QJ hoping that the station would do something stupid on the river? What could he put you on that he would bet into you on the river? K10, KQ, KJ The 22 hand earlier may get me to call here.

Hand 4 Not sure about this one. I'm a nit...I call

Hand 5 Did you see any of the hands he called reraises with in previous hands? I still think i'm cbetting 8000.

1. I fold. Though my stack isn't great, I'll still have over 20bb, so it's not desperation time. If I call and he does have A5 or even 55, my tournament is pretty much over.

2. Call. It looks like he is protecting against a draw, which means he probably hit top pair on the flop and the turn fell under his pair of 9's. A shove here would probably work against this type of player, but I doubt I'd have the balls to do it this early.

3. Tough lay down after investing that much in the pot, but I have to. If there wasn't someone to act behind me and I thought the guy might be bluffing I would shove, but thats probably not the case here with three in the pot.

4. Easy call, he is on AQ. I'm assuming you got all his chips, so no I don't see another route to getting value.

5. No clue where I am at, and if I am strong I don't want to give him a free card. Bet half the pot. If he shoves, fold. If he calls take a Tums.
