I check-raise well. God, I am just the awesomest (quote, Barney Stinson) check-raiser ever. When I check to all the donkeys and they donk into me with their donkish donk-bets, I just love to check-raise their asses! Teaches them who is boss…!

Good advice, but I'm not sure I agree about 4-tabling 20% of your bankroll. If you are going by a 5% rule, it would be, logically, per table, since the variance that you are trying to avoid is also (and solely) per table, not per session.

Hmmm... Well, I've heard that before (and tried to reference that argument in the blog), but I disagree. Based solely on the fact that you've got 20% of your roll "in play" if you 4-table 50NL with a 1K roll. Now, if your state of mind changes during a session, you're effectively risking all the money you have in play. That's just my take on it! :-) GL Sir.

Good post! BR management is vital to becoming winning poker player. I play mostly cash games at the minute and it hurts to move down due to swings but discipline and humility are very important, in all walks of life and not just poker.

With my $1.1k BR at the minute I'll play 6 tables at NL25. Check out the gross day I had at NL50 earlier (in my blog). Gotta take the rough with the smooth as they say
