Crazy hand from my weekly home game

We had a sick hand last night. Couple limpers.. flop comes 972, 1st player
to act bets $30 (1/2 the pot), 3 folds then the BB raises to $90, the orig
raiser goes all in for about $225, and the other calls.
1st player shows 97 for top two, BB shows A9, for TPTK.

Turn... A! The table goes nuts, as someone had said they mucked an Ace and
he only had 2 outs.

River... 7!!! The place goes nuts as the it goes suck, re-suck!

$1500 NL Tourney

Headed down to Atlantic City this weekend to play in the $1500 NL tourney at the Borgata. It was brutal. Was 2nd best all weekend, KK ran into AA, 555 ran into TTT, but I did make one sick play. Got AA and raised, got 2 callers, flop came 973, I bet, fold, then got raised, I re-raised, he went all in. Took me a while, eventually folded ,and he showed 77. Last hand that sent me packing was KK in MP, I raised and got 2 callers, flop came TJQ with 2 clubs, I only had $300 left so I went all in and of course he had QQ, and I missed all my outs.

Honestly.. game was not that tough, the hands people were calling down were horrible, I was just card dead. I don’t know if I have ever seen cards that bad ever. K2, A5off, 73… just nasty, fold, fold, fold… I was a folding station. Got AA one time in BB and everyone folded around to me, FUCK!

I was at 2/5 and got AA 3 times, flopped a set all 3 times and got zero action. Just one of those runs.

MONSTER SUCK OUT!! Misplayed for many reasons

So was playing the $3/$6 on PS the other day when this doozy came up. The MP2 player was Loose-Agressive, playing too many pots, and betting hard on everything. if people missed, they would fold and not play back at him. He had gone to the river a few times and shown some marginal hands.

We are 7 handed and he raises to $18, standard 3x raise, the Button calls, and I have QQ in the SB. Raise? Call? I decided to raise to $50 as MP2 could have anything including AJ - Ax, and since the Button just called, I figured he would fold to a raise and had just called with a marginal hand to see the flop.

Let me just say now, I screwed this hand up good and got lucky. Don't think I don't know it!

MP2 raises me to $150, the button folds (as expected) and I go all in and he called...

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $6 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($300)
UTG ($322.20)
MP1 ($330.95)
MP2 ($375.90)
CO ($184.40)
Button ($934.85)
Hero ($783.90)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, Q.
2 folds, MP2 raises to $18, 1 fold, Button calls $18, Hero raises to $60, 1 fold, MP2 raises to $150, Button folds, Hero raises to $783.9, MP2 calls $225.90 (All-In).

At this point I feel like i screwed up, as he may be LA, but he wouldn't call my all-in without a monster. And I am right, he has AA. But... the poker gods decided to shine on me...

Flop: ($1183.80) 8, Q, 5 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Flopped top set! Here's the sick part... Had I just called the $18, the button would have seen the flop too, and he said after he laid down KK. If I just call, MP2 is first to act and would most likely bet the pot $54. the Button with his KK would def. re-raise, to??? $150? that would make sense, cause a min-raise of $100 is to cheap. At which point I could have re-re-raised (or just called, hard to say right now what I would have done then), but point being that I lost money on this hand (Button's re-raise), by betting him off the hand.

Turn: ($1183.80) 5 (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($1183.80) Q (2 players, 1 all-in)

And just to kick a man when he is down, QUADS just for shits and giggles.

Final Pot: $1183.80

Results:
MP2 has Ac Ad (two pair, aces and queens).
Hero has Qc Qs (four of a kind, queens).
Outcome: Hero wins $1183.80.

Bad Beat?? Hard to say

So here's the deal, I am playing the PStars $150 tourney on 11/30, I am short stacked and look down at 33 in the SB. Everyone folds to Seat #2 MP player (who just lost most of his chips on a river suckout to Seat #9) and he goes all in. Everyone folds around to me, and I think:

1. I am short stacked (10 BB left)
2. He just lost a pot and is steaming
3. He def. has 2 overs = only 6 outs
4. I am ahead 57/43

I am 99% sure I am ahead with my pair, so he has 6 outs. I am OK with that since I am short stacked, and decide that I am either going to double up and get back in the mix, or I'm out and that's ok with me.
So I call...

Before I show you the rest of the hand, both hands are turned up and he has 22!!! Can you say DOMINATED!?!?! QUACK QUACK! I am an 81% favorite to win the hand with 33 vs. 22, I can't ask for him to have any other 2 cards where I would be such a huge favorite!

The answer to the title (my opinion) is YES this is a bad beat... but only once we see the hands. If he had two overs as I thought, and am only a 57% favorite, and he hits, it's not a bad beat.

SO.. Is it or isnt it??
