Let's go Yankees

shaundeeb Well it's been nice being back home for a whopping 3 days, and now I am leaving again. I am heading to Cleveland to watch the Yankees dominate the Indians in the ALDS. Heading down there with fellow wafflecrushers thayer and exitonly(ray). I am unsure of what I am going to do after that prob play sundays at someones house maybe actually hit a big score. I plan on going to the Canterbury classic coming up and then Niagara after that. I really see the difference way more now being back home after being away. After college I felt like I saw different things but traveling around Europe you see how the other half lives. I am intrigued to travel more the next few years as exploring different countries is something I enjoy.

I am picking up a lot of students this week for this month. I expect to have 15-20 when it's all said and done. I love coaching and it's something that as I improve at doing it will help me understand my thought process from the basics better then prior. Also, it's great to know when you are the key component to someone being successful helps the ego etc esp if I am running bad I know my concepts and game plan will work longterm because it's working for others. I have maybe 2-3 spots left for anyone interesting to PM me here or something to discuss not sure on this sites policy yet since I am so new.

My trucks been stranded in Boston since Barcelona and I really hate not having it in NY. I been stuck driving my sisters piece of shit sonata while she's at school since that's the only free car. I tried not to use it because I didn't trust it last night oh how I found out why. I was driving doing a few hello/goodbyes before leaving again and then the radio starts shutting on and off. Seems like no big deal no one drives the car the battery just needs to get rejuiced driving around. I proceed to drive another half mile then the whole dashboard goes off no speedometer no nothing. Car stars jerking really badly I pull into a firehouse call my dad say come pick me up this car sucks. He says try to drive it home and hands the phone to a cousin of mine whose a mechanic as the lights shutoff. As I am describing what's wrong I stop at a red light at one of the busiest intersections in the area and try to accelerate and nothing. Sighhhh luckily it was from the steeper side and I rolled my way down to a stop on the other side of the intersection. Had like 3 diff state troopers stop and do different things while I was waiting for AAA. Luckily when I get back from this expedition I'll have my truck back in town.

Recruit students all you want, but rooting for the Yankees in a post title is a gross violation of site policy. It's a Red Sox nation, sir! At least while I'm logged in as mod. Just a suggestion...show an email in your profile so prospective students can contact you. Go Sox!

Hi, Shuan. Didn't realize you were a Yankee fan. So am I. Things have been set pretty well for them. They play the team they want, get to stay on the east coast and it's also an advantage to them that they start on Thursday with less days of rest since a longer series would have benefited Cleveland since they have a stronger top of the rotation and could have used only 3 guys.

My main concern is Rivera. He really scares me. He only has the one pitch -- the cutter. In the past he just threw it over the plate and the hitters either missed or it jammed them and they broke their bats. With less velocity and movement they can now hit it, so he needs to pick his spots and with that comes control problems. I have bad feelings about him and I think Torre has too much faith in him to make a switch to Joba, even though Joba has been unhittable. Let's keep our fingers crossed. With Hughes in the bullpen their middle relief is looking pretty good, plus if Kennedy comes back they really have a deep pen.

Now if A-Rod can continue his hot streak and play like the regular season A-Rod we might get pretty far.

GO YANKEES!

While I'm logged in as mod, Shaun, you have full rights to root for the Yankees. Actually, I have a secret super-user account, so just ignore the Boston-based mod. He has no power when it comes to this issue!

I'll be there for tonight's game, however I am an Indians fan, so I can't share in everyone's love for the Evil Empire. Nothing would please me more than to see another 200+ million dollar roster go down yet again! Are you gonna be at both games up here??

Well, didn't work out for our boys. Oh, well. After the opening bosox/tribe game we cannot say anymore that the pitching got to us. The sox had no trouble with the pitching. I hope A-rod goes, and Rivera can go too. He didn't look good at all. I REALLY hope Torre goes. He made a lot of panic decisions and bad decisions. Pitching Wang in the 4th game when Moose looked great in his last few starts was panic. Brining in Joba and Mo at the end of game 3 when they were up by 5 runs is inexcusable. Not making a stink and trying to delay the game when Joba was out there with the bugs is crazy. The kid was covered in bugs... how can you expect him to pitch? In game one Torre brought in a guy who I never even heard of and I watched almost all Yankee games this year.

So Shaun...what's going on with the poker? Have you been playing?

I must be getting old as I don't take my Yankees' losing so badly any more. Guess it is all those great memories of victory after victory. I was a college guy during the Stengel years....5 World Series in a row. You younger guys have it tougher, but let's root for those young Rockies giving those bums up in Boston a good going over!!
